Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n

The present empirical study aims to identify indiscipline and emotional problems of adolescents\u00a0and analyze the influence of gender, age, school results, friends and interpersonal relationships,\u00a0main concerns, personal abilities and parents\u2019 professions variables on those problems. The samples\u00a0is composed by 223 students in the 2nd and 3rd cycles of the Portuguese Basic Education, having filled in the Adolescents\u2019 behavioural problems inventory \u2013 YSR \/11-18 year-olds, Achenbach (2001). After completing reliability studies and validating the constructs, six factors were established, for which we present the results: Anti-Social, Anxiety\/Depression, Thought\/Schizoid Problems, Somatic Complaints, Attention Problems, and Maladjusted Behaviours.
